Soledad Sands Park-Remembering Buck Ware

For those of you that worked at the park, Cousin Greg Smith passed away yesterday. He took me to my first AC/DC concert and taught me all the lyrics to Motley Crew. He lived larger than life his entire life. He was my cousin, Gregory Smith. I am in shock tonight. I don’t even know how to feel anymore. The stadium lights have turned on and the show is over. Finally rest in peace my cousin Greg. You lived a huge life. My heart is with your best accomplishment, sweet Sienna.

Here is an update regarding our April reunion. Reservations need to be made thru Thousand Trails at 1-800-288-7245. Camp sites cannot be reserved specifically but are given on a 1st come 1st served basis. When arriving at the park tell them you are with the Soledad Sands Park Reunion and ask for Campground M. Please contact Bob Blackburn at [email protected] also as that will be the only way we’ll know who is coming.

Soledad Sands Reunion Update Our reunion is still scheduled for Friday April 20th to Sunday April 22nd. Each attendee needs call 661-269-1740 ext 2 and ask for Jenn. Say you are with the "Soledad Sands Reunion" and I that you are requesting Campground M.

The costs for sites will be:

Tent site - $38/nite
RV site- $48/nite
Cabin - $95/nite sleeps 4-5
Cottage - $145 sleeps up to 6

Please bring your Soledad Sands and Buck Ware stories, and photos too. We will be having a BBQ Saturday nite, with food costs per person determined after groceries are bought. Meanwhile in Montana...this is happening!

In a stolen moment today I realized it had been 4 years since Dad had passed away. I am at the doorstep of opening my new event center Holt Stage Hideaway-Event Center in Kalispell, MT. I had my first event and will open to the public this weekend. I can't help but wonder if Dad had his hand on this project. The timing is impeccable!!
