On Labor Day Weekend, the Pickett Fire Department with Latta DECA Students participated in the Ada Labor Day Parade & won 1st Place!

Earlier this week, Pickett Volunteer Fire Department responded to a late night structure fire on County Road 1543. This was an outhouse used for storage, no one was injured in this call.

The Pickett Volunteer Fire Department is happy to present Brush 15, our newest addition to our department. She’s a stewart stevenson truck & will greatly assist our community during grass fires!

It is with deepest sympathy we regret to inform the passing of one of our board members, Jeff Hayes. Jeff has been a dedicated and supportive member of the Pickett community by serving as a board member for the Pickett Vol. Fire Department for the past few years and will be greatly missed.

Services for Jeff will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Ada on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery in Stratford.
