🦋🐸🐉 On the first day of Mighty Morphs, our young five-year-old scientists began exploring how living things grow and change! Students compared their own growth to that of other animals, like ferrets, and started thinking about the different ways animals develop. Later this week, they'll discover how butterflies, frogs, and dragonflies go through incredible transformations before becoming the adult animals we know and love. We're diving into the amazing world of metamorphosis! 🌱✨

Starting TODAY! Step directly into the current and watch the wild world of the Trinity River come alive right beneath your feet. 🐸💦

To celebrate 30 years of inspiring wonder in Arlington, the River Legacy Nature Center is officially opening the doors to our brand-new, highly immersive interactive floor installation inside the Discovery Room: Phase 1 of "A River Runs Through It" is fully funded through a generous grant from the Sid Richardson Foundation and custom-built by Virtual Wild (the digital wizards behind our Discovery Trail App).

This isn't just an exhibit; it's a living gateway designed to pull children and families out of their everyday routines and plunge them into the vital mission of environmental preservation.

The picture below is a mockup of all 3 phases completed. Today, June 9, we are celebrating the completion of Phase 1. Come on out and bring the kids!

The rich scent of damp forest earth, the flash of a green anole lizard on a log, and a child's eyes widening in pure wonder. 🦎✨

This World Environment Day, we are celebrating the incredible truth that when kids are taught to care for nature, they become its natural protectors.

Through hands-on family activities in DFW, summer camps, and public field trips, we help over 30,000 guests connect deeply with our wild spaces each year.

But we can't do it alone.

Many neighbors don't know that River Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While our beautiful 1,300-acre nature trails and park in Arlington are free to explore, our educational programs and Trinity River preservation efforts rely entirely on community generosity.

Will you help us grow the legacy this World Environment Day? Your tax-deductible donation keeps our environmental education thriving and directly supports the next generation of environmental stewards.
