Voter suppression is real! This happened in our district. I had plans to go to Morgan Falls Park to make a video and changed my mind at at the last minute because of the heat. At the school/polling site, school was in session. The building was put on lockdown. We do our very best to keep our kiddos safe. We can’t let the haters win.

On this perfect spring day we celebrated the last graduating class of Independence High School. This Alternative high school opened 35 years ago, serving students seeking a non-traditional pathway to graduation. Congratulations to the students, faculty, parents, and Principal Tabitha Taylor. My name is Dr. Michelle Morancie, and I am thankful to serve as your School Board member for portions of Sandy Springs, Roswell, and Johns Creek.

During my time in office, I have been a consistent advocate for creating a quality educational experience for all students enrolled in Fulton County Schools - regardless of ZIP code.
