Here is the newest email scam. If you get something from"Social Security" asking for verification for your 2025 records do not open it!!!! This is a scam. This is not legitimate. Some dark website is trying to steal your information. Just HIT DELETE

If you received a letter from the IRS saying your extension was not received on time please ignore it. Our office filed all extensions two weeks before the deadline and the IRS has been notified of their error. If you have further questions please call our office.

The IRS is closed
All government offices are closed
Some banks are closed, check with your personal bank.
Many businesses are closed.
This is a day of celebration.

Once taxpayers file their federal tax returns, they're eager for details about their refund. When it comes to refunds, there are several common myths that can mislead taxpayers.

Myth: Calling the IRS, tax software provider, or a tax professional will provide a more accurate refund date
Many people think talking to the IRS, tax software provider or their tax professional is the best way to find out when they will get their refund. The best way to check the status of a refund is online through the Where's My Refund? tool or the IRS2Go app.

Taxpayers can call the automated refund hotline at 800-829-1954. This hotline has the same information as Where's My Refund? and IRS telephone assistors. There is no need to call the IRS unless Where's My Refund? says to do so.

COVID-19 Mail Processing Delays
It’s taking us longer to process mailed documents including:

Paper tax returns, and
All tax return related correspondence.
We are processing all mail in the order we received it.

Do not file a second tax return or call the IRS.
