Thank you to everyone who joined Mayor Carmalitha Gumbs, community partners Make Justice Healing, and the Ocasio Feliciano Foundation for Safer Futures for the South Fulton Safe Summer Kickoff hosted at the Cliftondale Center.

This important event was held in recognition of Gun Violence Awareness Month and served as an opportunity for residents, families, and community leaders to come together with a shared commitment to keeping our youth safe and building a stronger, more connected community.

Attendees participated in meaningful conversations and hands-on activities focused on prevention and education. Community members learned about gun safety and responsible firearm storage, first aid and life-saving response techniques, mental wellness resources, and support services available to help families.

Creating safer communities requires collaboration, awareness, and action from all of us. By equipping our residents with resources and strengthening partnerships, we continue working together to protect our youth and create a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
