Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and Black liberation. While Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States, it also reminds us that the work toward equity, justice, and true freedom continues.
We celebrate the strength, culture, and contributions of Black communities today and every day. ❤️🖤💚

As Atlanta welcomes thousands of visitors for the World Cup, it's important to remember that major events can increase the risk of both s*x and labor trafficking. Traffickers are often drawn to large crowds and may exploit the surge in tourism by moving victims through hotels, entertainment venues, and other public spaces.
Knowing the warning signs can help save a life. Be aware of individuals who appear fearful, anxious, submissive, unable to come and go freely, or who provide scripted answers. Traffickers may also maintain control by holding a victim's identification documents, boarding passes, or hotel key cards.
If you suspect someone is in immediate danger or may be a victim of trafficking, call 911 right away. Reporting suspicious activity could help protect someone from exploitation.
At Covenant House Georgia, we are committed to providing a safe space where young people experiencing trafficking can find support, safety, and resources on their path to healing.

“Because of you, it’s like—‘Okay, we can get you there. We can get you back.’” - Marissa
To our donors: thank you. 💙
For many of the young moms we serve, something as simple as transportation can be the difference between keeping a job or losing it. Whether it’s an Uber ride when a car breaks down, a bus pass to get to work, or help covering daycare for the week, your support shows up in real, life-changing ways.
When money is tight and choices feel impossible, you step in with compassion and understanding.
Because of you, young mothers don’t have to choose between caring for their children and building a future.
Your generosity keeps them moving forward, literally and figuratively.

What an exciting past couple of days it has been for one of our young people, Quen. She walked the stage at our graduation and received her GED, transitioned from our Gift of Hope apartments into stable housing, and celebrated her birthday last week.
We love celebrating the accomplishments of our young people and watching them shine. Join us in congratulating Quen and letting her know how proud we are of everything she has achieved.
Congratulations, Quen!

Kailana is three years old, and her mom describes her in one word: pure. 💕
She loves to dance, sing, play outside, and, of course, anything pink. But what makes Kailana truly special is her heart.
One day at the park, when another child fell, Kailana was the one who stopped. She checked on her, made sure she was okay, and helped her find her mom. That kindness? It says everything.
"The biggest thing is to have patience" is what Marissa said after asking what the hardest adjustment was when becoming a mom.
Because of supporters like you, Kailana is growing up in a safe, stable home where she can just be a kid, and become exactly who she’s meant to be.
This Mother’s Day, you can help more children like Kailana thrive.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
We recognize that every young person who comes through our doors arrives with their own unique story and circumstances. The journey they took to get to our campus shows up in many different ways, including challenges with mental health.
In fact, 69% of youth experiencing homelessness report mental health challenges.
That’s why we have dedicated mental health professionals on-site, providing care, support, and guidance every step of the way.
