Sometimes it’s hard to wrap your head around a number like 12.6 million, but when you see it in terms of full bellies and warm homes, it means everything. in 2025, we moved 12.6 million pounds of food and essentials through our warehouse and out into the community. We truly believe in "actions speak louder than words," and we’re going to keep these boots on the ground as long as our neighbors need us.

We were so excited to officially open our new school-based food pantry at Crawford W. Long Middle School! 🎒🥕 This pantry, thanks to Kroger and their vendor partners, provides over 800 families in Southwest Atlanta with discreet, immediate access to food, clothing, and essentials right where they are. With the school year winding down and children facing year-end testing, we want to remove the weight of hunger, so they can focus on what matters most: their future.

When disaster strikes, we believe in being the "boots on the ground." 🚛 From Hurricane Melissa relief in Jamaica to supporting our neighbors in Augusta after Hurricane Helene, Caring For Others is there to help families rebuild with hope - 4,530 of them in 2025. We don’t just provide aid; we provide restoration.

Our hearts are just full watching this video. Seeing the lines for our grocery distribution reminds us exactly why we serve our metro Atlanta families.

Times are tight right now, and we know how stressful it is just to keep gas in the tank to get to work, that’s why we were so happy to step in and surprise 150 families and ease that burden. Seeing the pure relief and joy on their faces is what keeping dignity alive is all about.

Of course, none of these blessings would be possible without our incredible partners and volunteers who showed up with hearts ready to serve. You all are the real backbone of this mission!

"Schools are where needs show up first." — Dr. Eslene Richmond-Shockley.

We are so thankful for our partners at Kroger, and their vendor partners for helping us bring the vision of Ray of Hope food pantry to life at Long Middle School. Together, we’re making sure hundreds of families have the support they need to succeed.

There is nothing quite like the magic of Christmas morning, but why wait until December to share that joy? 🎁✨

Now that it's June, we're just a few months away from our Christmas in September program. It's one of our favorite times of the year because it allows us to surprise our local families when they might need it most. This past year, we were able to share toys and essentials with 3,700 children across our community. We believe that no child should have to go without a reason to smile, and no mother should have to worry about how she’ll make the holidays special.

Check out the video and revisit our 2025 Christmas in September.

"When you walk into an interview in a suit, it’s a different feeling. You feel prepared. You feel confident." — Jeronimo Dye.

Jeronimo is a theater and film major at GSU, and we are so proud to support his journey through our 1st Impression program. The program ensures metro Atlanta students are interview ready. We want our young leaders to walk into their future with their heads held high. Watch: https://youtu.be/VtjOf5u6u_I?si=FQDj7S7DDoNDZUUR

In 2025, we were able to reach over 523,000 individuals—that’s over 100,000 more neighbors than the year before. We know that behind every one of those numbers is a mother, a senior, or a child who needed a little extra support. We are just so grateful to have the space and the resources to say "yes" to more people who need a hand up.

There’s a special kind of confidence that comes from a new pair of shoes. 👟✨ Through our "No Bare Soles" program, we recently distributed over 3,000 pairs of brand-new shoes to students at Long Middle and Humphries Elementary. Every child deserves to walk into school feeling bold, prepared, and valued.

Caring For Others continues its mission to eradicate poverty by expanding its reach through trusted partner agencies. Because a single organization cannot be everywhere at once, these critical partnerships allow us to extend our arms wide open and deliver essential aid directly to surrounding communities across Georgia.

During the latest distribution, partner agencies received brand-new clothing and name-brand household furniture - and even sofas.

These items are not old or used; they are brand-new products going directly into the hands of families, single mothers, and individuals who need them most.
