Happy ! Juneteenth is a day to celebrate Black freedom, resilience, and hope. It’s also a day to reflect on the ways freedom continues to be denied to Black people in the United States and to recommit to the fight for racial justice.

At the Georgia Working Families Party, we see how Georgia Republicans continue to try to undermine Black political power and voting rights in our state and remain steadfast in our fight to defend our democracy. While we scored a win this week during special session, we know the fight isn’t over.

Keyanna Jones Moore wins! With more than 15 years of organizing experience, Keyanna is a dedicated community servant. She is running to stop unchecked data center development, fight for fair water bills, and improve public transit for the community.

Kenn Collier wins! A lifelong South Atlantan, entrepreneur, and community leader, Kenn is running to create more local jobs, open real pathways for young people, prevent gun violence, and build a district where opportunity reaches everyone.

Rep. Ruwa Romman wins! Ruwa is a Georgia state representative running for Georgia State Senate to continue her work: fighting to lower housing costs, taking on data centers, expanding Medicaid, protecting immigrants from ICE, and building a Georgia we can all afford.
