UPDATE: The Advance Voting location at 193 Lamar Haley Parkway in Canton will reopen today at 10 a.m.
Following the temporary closure on Monday after a vehicle struck the building, repairs have been made by Cherokee County Property Maintenance staff. The facility has also been inspected by an engineer and confirmed to be structurally safe to resume Advance Voting operations.
All seven (7) Advance Voting locations will be open and available to voters.

Effective immediately, the Cherokee County Elections & Voter Registration Office Advance Voting location at 193 Lamar Haley Parkway, Canton, is closed until further notice. On Monday, May 4, 2026 at approximately 2 p.m., a vehicle hit the building causing the polling location to be closed. An announcement will be made when the Advance Voting location will be ready to receive voters.
