The medians along Howell Mill are filling in with new plantings, bringing more texture, shade, and color to the corridor.
It’s a small but visible step toward a more welcoming streetscape, making everyday trips through the Upper Westside feel a little more cared for.

Designed as a multi-use corridor, the Woodall Rail Trail links greenspace, retail, and everyday destinations into a single, walkable route. Along the way, it connects to local staples like Star Provisions and Westside Market Home.
In 2027, the Silver Comet Connector trail will open and tie Woodall Rail Trail to the Silver Comet Trail.
The countdown to Westside Stride starts now 👟 One of the Upper Westside’s favorite community traditions returns this year bringing together movement, local businesses, live experiences, and neighborhood connection.

Brady Pocket Park has been reimagined as a more welcoming, usable space for the neighborhood. Located at Brady Avenue and Howell Mill Road, the Upper Westside’s first pocket park was created as a shared place to gather, pause, and connect.

From new sidewalks and trail connections to bike infrastructure and safer corridors, these mobility projects are helping close gaps and make it easier to move across the district.
