Exciting times at Kirkwood Library! We celebrated Juneteenth with a hands-on hair braiding class, diving into the rich history behind this beautiful art form. Participants learned how the fight for freedom has shaped the braiding techniques we cherish today.

Sandy Springs Library has had some fantastic dinosaur-themed events so far this summer!

We've enjoyed music, been amazed by two talented magicians, created fossils, and learned about the birds that inhabit our community. Our youngest patrons learned fascinating facts about dinosaurs, had the chance to pet a “real” dinosaur, dug for fossils, and participated in fun games and activities. Families got an up-close look at some amazing dinosaur "specimens" with Fernbank-on-the-Go and had the chance to try out tools used by people long ago.

Summer truly is one of the best times to visit the library!
