When children in Arapahoe County cannot safely remain at home, the Collaborative Foster Care Program – a partnership between Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson counties – helps children and youth find a safe, supportive place to stay.
Most children are able to stay with relatives or trusted adults they already know through kinship care. Others find a safe space and a shoulder to lean on with a foster family. In either case, the program recruits, trains and supports caregivers who step in during some of the most difficult moments in a child’s life.
