The Small Game Program, with regional TPWD staff and other state and federal agencies, is responsible for managing an array of upland, waterfowl, and webless migratory game bird species and their habitats in Texas. The program works with conservation partners to help deliver on-the-ground conservation projects and programs focused on habitat restoration and management and helps guide research effo

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Department of the Interior will jointly present on New World screwworm (NWS) preparedness and response. NWS, also known as Cochliomyia hominivorax, can infest livestock, wildlife, and other warm-blooded animals, including people.

This webinar is specifically targeted for the wildlife and hunting community and will cover:

- recognizing and reporting NWS infestations;
- cases and response within Mexico;
- sterile fly production and dispersal, including new facilities;
- other domestic preparedness activities; and
- interagency coordination.
