Nothing says summer in Austin quite like a ride on the Zilker Eagle. As the season kicks off, I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy our parks, trails, and public spaces that make Austin such a special place to call home.
As Austin Bike Month comes to a close, the work doesn’t stop here. Building a safer, more connected, and less car-dependent city takes year-round investment in mobility options that work for everyone. Let’s keep moving Austin forward

Honored to recognize AAPI Heritage Month at City Hall today. As a proud member of Austin’s AAPI community, I’m grateful for the cultures, stories, and contributions that continue to shape our city and make Austin stronger every day.

From late nights studying to taking the plunge into the Littlefield Fountain (questionable water quality and all), you’ve officially made it. Wishing you all the best in whatever comes next.

Stopped by the Little Free Bakery pop-up and got to celebrate something really special.
A space where everything is free, neighbors take care of each other, and community comes first.

A quick look at the conversations happening around safety, innovation, and how these technologies operate on our streets. This work is ongoing, and it matters for our community.
Yesterday’s joint Public Safety and Mobility Committee meeting was a chance for real accountability.
I’m disappointed that Waymo didn’t show up in person. People deserve transparency when it comes to safety on our streets.
State law limits what cities can regulate, which is why we need our state and federal partners to step up. This isn’t partisan, it’s about public safety. Reach out to your representatives and to these companies. Accountability only happens if we demand it.

Grateful to everyone who showed up for the renters’ rights teach-in with BASTA. Thank you to the organizers doing this work every day. We’ll keep showing up for renters and fighting for safe, dignified housing in District 9.
