Travis County Medical Alliance is featured in the current newsletter of the Texas Medical Association for our work at St Saint Louise House.

Travis County Alliance Helps Women with Housing Stability and Support Since 2011, the Travis County Medical Alliance has provided meals, raised money, and helped prepare stable housing for women and children experiencing homelessness. Through a local nonprofit, alliance member donations have provided everything from staple pantry items to children’s toys.

We’re so excited to share a few photos from the final step of the Saint Louise House apartment setup. Everything has now come together beautifully, and we were honored to welcome the family with their favorite meal and a fully stocked pantry, refrigerator, and freezer. 🏡💛

With leftover funds, we also picked out a special toy and fun items for the 4-year-old’s new room, plus a basket of the mom’s favorite things for her to enjoy. 🎁✨

A special thank you to Tera and her daughter, and Paige, for helping make this final step possible. And thank you to everyone who donated money, time, and furniture. Your generosity truly made this all happen. 🙏

And thank you to everyone who donated items, contributed financially, and helped spread the word. Because of your generosity, we were able to turn an empty apartment into a warm, welcoming home and go beyond the basics for this family.

A special thank you as well to those who assembled furniture ahead of time and to everyone who showed up ready to help on setup day. From building furniture to hanging curtains and adding thoughtful touches like decor and spices, it truly all came together beautifully.

We’ll be stocking the pantry and delivering a special meal once the family is confirmed in the next couple of weeks. So thankful to be part of a community that shows up like this. 🙏✨
