๐จ GUS ON THE ISSUES ๐จ
Austin deserves sidewalks you can trust.
Every day, hardworking pets step outside expecting a safe, clean path to the dog park. Instead, they're met with uncertainty. Like uncollected messes. uncontrolled zoomies, and a growing culture of ""someone else will handle it.""
Gus has a plan.
โ
Stronger leash standards
โ
Cleaner sidewalks
โ
Responsible pet ownership
โ
Accountability for every paw print
This summer, ask yourself:
Do you want a city that runs wild?
Or a city that works?

On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of slavery, nearly two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth marks this long-overdue moment of liberation. ๐ค

At Saturdayโs Paws to the Polls event, Franklin pulled ahead with 54% of the vote, edging out Gus in a very close race. But this election is far from over!
The votes from Pflugerville are only one stop on the campaign trail. Weโve got more Paws to the Polls events happening all summer long, and every event brings a new chance to cast a ballot, meet the candidates, and help decide who takes the title of Austin Pet Mayor.
So if your candidate didnโt come out on top this weekend, donโt panic. And if they did, donโt get too comfortable. The final result wonโt be decided until the end of the summer.
Until then, the race is still on!
