🐍POV: You’re trying to break down camp and the park ranger forgot to mention there would be a final inspection.

This campsite inspector stopped by while we were packing up camp at Purtis Creek State Park.

Snakes play an important role in healthy ecosystems by helping control rodent populations, and most would rather avoid people altogether.

Our advice when you encounter a snake:
👀 Observe from a distance
📸 Take a photo
🚶 Give it space

After all, seeing wildlife in its natural habitat is one of the best parts of camping in Texas!
