Out of 17,000 wines, these Texas vineyards and wineries received the equivalent of a Michelin Star after wine professionals judged each wine on its character and quality. We are so proud of all of our Texas vineyards and wineries for showcasing the delicious wines that Texas has to offer!

Grapes have been growing in Texas since the 1600s, when the Spanish missionaries planted the state's first vines. Those early vineyards laid the foundation for T.V. Munson, who brought his passion for horticulture to Texas in 1876!

"Texas wine grapes are headed to space. Researchers from Texas A&M AgriLife are sending hundreds of grape seeds to the International Space Station, where the seeds will spend approximately 6 months exposed to cosmic radiation before returning to Earth for planting and study. The project could produce what researchers believe to be the first wine made from grapes grown from seeds that traveled through space."
