This Pride Month, we're sharing a clip from Changes: The Transs*xuals, Part I (1979), a Houston television news special featuring transgender Texans speaking about their experiences growing up, navigating gender dysphoria, and finding language for their identities.
At a time when transgender voices were rarely featured in mainstream media, programs like this documented personal stories that might otherwise have been lost to history.
