BGPD proudly participated once again in the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of the Special Olympics 🏅🔥  A huge thank you to our dedicated runners, and our neighboring law enforcement agencies for their incredible support and teamwork. 🏃‍♂️🤝

A special thank you to the students and staff at Garfield Elementary school for coming out to cheer us on and help make our run more memorable! 🎉👏

E-Bike Safety🚲⚡️

Class 1, 2, and 3 E‑Bikes each have different speed capabilities and rules about where they’re allowed. Know the rules before you ride.

For young riders, helmets are mandatory for anyone under 18 — whether on an e‑bike or a standard bicycle.

E‑bike modifications that increase speed or motor output are not legal, and they can make the bike unsafe for both the rider and the community.

And remember, Pocket bikes & mopeds are prohibited on all city streets/sidewalks/pathways and cannot be used as street‑legal vehicles.
