Day 2 at the Junior Achievement Future Bound competition in Boston is officially in the books, and what a day it was!

Today was all about the Entrepreneurship Expo, and team R.I.S.E. absolutely crushed it! They brought unmatched energy, professionalism, and innovation to the floor.

The hard work, late nights, and dedication are paying off. No matter what the final results are, this team has already proven they have what it takes to lead the future.

Huge thank you to Junior Achievement for hosting such an inspiring event, and to everyone cheering us on from home. Stay tuned for more updates as we head into the next round!

And that’s a wrap on an incredible year at the New Visions Career Academy! 🎓

Our students have pushed boundaries, worked harder than ever, and truly grown over the past few months. From diving deep into career exploration to building lifelong friendships, this year has been packed with unforgettable moments, growth, and a lot of fun.

We officially closed out the year this morning the best way we know how—with a high-energy, friendly, but fiercely competitive volleyball tournament! 🏐🏆

Congratulations to all of our students on their hard work and achievements. We are so proud of your dedication and cannot wait to see where your career journeys take you next!

Innovation in action! 💡

Earlier this week, students from New Visions Business, Union-Endicott Central School District , and Windsor Central School District competed in the Start Up Summit business plan competition.

Every participant did a phenomenal job building a business from scratch, formalizing a professional plan, and pitching directly to a panel of judges. 👏

🎉 Special congratulations to New Visions Business for taking home 2nd and 5th place!

This event wouldn't be possible without a strong community support system. Thank you to SUNY Broome Community College for hosting the competition, and a massive thank you to our mentor, , for investing your time and expertise into mentoring these bright young minds.

This year’s Health Academy students presented their culminating posters at a Final Symposium. They chose to research a specific disease or disorder and related advancement in prevention, diagnosis, or treatment. Each project was also linked to a Social Determinant of Health and its impact on health outcomes. Thank you to the many family members, school administrators, school counselors, and friends who came to see the students present their topics, utilizing their learning from coursework, clinical rotations, and research! Double the celebration for our incredible Junior Achievement leaders!

First, a huge congratulations to R.I.S.E., a JA student-led company, for being selected as a national finalist for Company of the Year. Their innovation and hard work have earned them a top spot on the national stage!

We also want to recognize Lauren and Baron, who will represent team Stratton Oakmont at the National JA Stock Market Challenge. Their savvy trading skills and strategic thinking have officially earned them a ticket to compete in Boston!

Both teams are headed to Future Bound by Junior Achievement at Boston University this June. We are so proud to have these talented students representing us.

Good luck in Boston!

Our office had the pleasure of hosting Abbi Engelbert from Tioga Central School District and Jaelynne Lovell from OA Schools, Owego Free Academy through the BTBOCES_New Visions Law & Government Program over the last four weeks.

It has been a wonderful experience having them with our office as they explored the legal field and gained firsthand insight into the work of prosecutors and the criminal justice system. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn made a lasting impression on our team.

We wish Abbi and Jaelynne continued success in all of their future endeavors and thank them for spending part of their educational journey with us!

Real world. Real experience.
Our students are out in the field! This week, the New Visions Business Academy took over Broome County for job shadowing. There’s no better way to learn than by doing, and our students are making us proud at every stop.
Shoutout to all the local pros showing them the ropes!
