📚✍🏾 Celebrating Our Young Authors! ✍🏾📚
Booker T. Washington K-8 was proud to welcome the Birmingham Public Library Smithfield Branch for a special Book Signing Day experience! Our students had the opportunity to participate in engaging illustration activities and creative crafts while celebrating the books they wrote, illustrated, and published themselves.
From reading their stories in the Reading Corner to signing copies for family and friends, our scholars experienced the joy and pride of being published authors. This memorable event highlighted creativity, literacy, and the power of student voice.
A special thank you to the Birmingham Public Library Smithfield Branch librarians and staff for partnering with us to make this day a success. Together, we are inspiring a lifelong love of reading, writing, and learning.

A day of authorship, achievement, and celebration at Booker T. Washington K-8! 📚✍🏾✨
Today, our student authors proudly participated in Book Signing Day, the culminating event of their writing and publishing journey. After weeks of planning, writing, revising, illustrating, and publishing their own books, students had the opportunity to sign copies of their completed works just like professional authors.
This special event celebrated creativity, perseverance, and the power of student voice. We are incredibly proud of each scholar for bringing their stories to life and sharing their imagination with others.
Congratulations to our young authors on this remarkable accomplishment! Your stories matter, your voices matter, and today you showed the world what is possible when creativity and hard work come together.
