A huge thank you to Greg Blake and the Southern Power team for spending the day with us at Pathways! They treated our women and children to a delicious Cracker Barrel meal that fed our guests for both lunch and dinner. A warm meal can bring comfort, dignity, and a sense of community, and this meal did exactly that.

What made their visit even more special was that they stayed. They spent time talking with our women, engaging with our children, sharing laughs, and even performing a few magic tricks🪄✨ that brought smiles to so many faces.

Acts of kindness like this remind our community that they are seen, valued, and cared for. It wasn’t just about the food it was about connection, compassion, and showing up for others in a meaningful way.

Thank you, Greg and Southern Power, for continuing to support the women and children we serve. We are grateful for your partnership and the joy you brought to our community.🩷

At Pathways, we believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. This Pride Month, we celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all women and children who walk through our doors. Homelessness can impact anyone, and no one should have to face barriers to safety, shelter, or support because of who they are or who they love.

Pathways is proud to be a safe space where women and children can find hospitality, housing, hope, and the opportunity to build a brighter future. Our commitment to inclusion extends far beyond June as we continue creating a space where everyone can feel seen, supported, and safe. We stand alongside our LGBTQ+ neighbors, clients, staff, volunteers, and supporters as we continue working toward a community where everyone feels valued, accepted, and safe.

They recently organized a donation drive for the women at Pathways and truly showed up for our community in such a meaningful way. From clothing and toiletries to cleaning supplies and laundry detergent, they collected so many everyday essentials that our women rely on daily.

These donations are more than just items on a shelf. They provide comfort, dignity, and support to women working hard to rebuild their lives.

Are You Handy? We Need You!

We’re looking for volunteers with maintenance skills to help keep our community thriving! Whether you can fix a leaky faucet, patch drywall, do basic electrical work, or just aren’t afraid to pick up a paintbrush, your time and talents are greatly needed. No job is too small. Every bit of help makes a real difference. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and give back, we’d love to hear from you!

Cheryl has been pouring into the women at Pathways by bringing hope bags filled with love, encouragement, and care. Our women absolutely light up every time she walks through the doors, and the impact she continues to make reaches far beyond just a donation. She is spreading hope all across Birmingham and beyond.

We are also so excited to celebrate Cheryl on officially becoming a registered business owner! Turning your own journey into a mission that uplifts others is something truly powerful, and we are so proud of all she is building.
