Ok. Last dance post for a bit. 😅 I’m so incredibly proud of this kid. I could watch her do this a million times. I see every correction she implemented. I see her being serious when she’s dying to smile. I see skills she couldn’t even attempt back in October when she started learning this. I hear her people supporting her (not me though because I’m not allowed, per her. 🤪) She cried actual tears when we put this costume away & that says a lot because she has a LOT of costumes. 🤣

We are all up in our feelings about this dance season being over. Today, we’ll empty the dance bag & tuck away the costumes until Senior year. 🥹 This year, Ivy stepped out of her musical theater comfort zone & while still playing a character, learned control, technique, how to commit to the bit, & was eager to change the routine with newly learned skills every single week she stepped into the studio with 🫣. From the first time she performed in January, to now… I just can’t even express the growth. came in with details that added the perfect touch of creepy & POINT YOUR TOES, .fisherrrr always encouraging and detailed, with the support & words she always needs & who can figure out exactly why she can’t perform something & is quick to instruct, demonstrate, & help in literal any capacity.

This season, Ivy didn’t care about placement, neither of us did. We cared about growth, about judges comments & about finding her thing. As one of the judges said at the last competition, this was perfect for her, goal accomplished. 🖤🖤🖤

Now, let’s do it again next year, but with a twist. 💚
