We all have a responsibility to keep the Greenbelt safe and enjoyable for all Boiseans. Always travel at safe speeds for yourself and those around you, keep dogs on their leashes and say "on your left!"

However you're using the Greenbelt, just don't be a silly goose and remember to share the path.

Esther Simplot Park will be closed to all vehicles from Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26 for resurfacing. The Boise River Greenbelt, internal park paths and features will remain open to users, but please plan to walk, bike or scoot into Esther Simplot Park during the temporary parking lot closure. Please do not park in the Idaho River Sports parking lot to access Esther Simplot Park during the temporary parking lot closure, and please always be respectful of neighbors and read posted signage if seeking on-street parking nearby.

Thank you for your patience as these necessary parking lot updates are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible!

Throughout this year, we have celebrated and honored America 250 with events, programming and more. This week, we asked City Council Member Kathy Corless to reflect on what this milestone means to her.

Personal fireworks are not allowed in City of Boise parks and open spaces! They can cause fires, damage playgrounds, scorch turf, harm trees and leave behind dangerous debris. Help us keep our parks safe, beautiful and ready for everyone to enjoy.

Many City of Boise facilities are closed on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. City parks, the Boise River Greenbelt, cemeteries, Zoo Boise and municipal golf courses will operate on normal schedules.

There is no delay to trash, recycling or compost collection.

The Mobile Market, a partnership between the Boise Farmers Market and City of Good, provides access to locally grown produce with regularly scheduled weekday routes throughout Boise - now including Thursday afternoons on City Hall Plaza!

Using a completely ‘pay what you choose’ model, we are working together to ensure equitable access to local food for all Boise residents.

Water is a limited resource, especially during drought years. You can reduce the amount of water you use at home this summer with a few simple steps: fix leaks, water lawns and gardens during cooler parts of the day, use rain barrels to collect water for plants and install water-efficient fixtures to reduce water use and save money.

The Boise Farmer's Market Mobile Market will be at City Hall every Thursday from 1 - 3:30 p.m. this summer! The Mobile Market provides local produce to Boiseans using a ‘pay what you choose’ model, ensuring equitable access to local food for all.
