AI must never be a replacement for human expertise and oversight. We need full transparency when AI algorithms are used, the input of these algorithms, and accountability for usage. This is an issue that affects everything from insurance, benefits services, education, hiring, and commerce.

We need federal guidelines to ensure protection for our country, not fragmented policies that leave loopholes that can harm our neighbors. I've outlined key points for an 'Algorithmic Commons Act'

A House vote is happening this week on a bill titled, "Take Care of America's Veterans Act." Veterans groups across the political spectrum have spoken out against it.

According to VA estimates, the changes could reduce disability compensation payments by approximately $57 billion over ten years and impact 1.5 million veterans.

Our nations' veterans should not be pitted against one another in order to receive much needed care and earned compensation.
