These thoughtfully assembled baskets provide more than just household essentials, they offer comfort, dignity, encouragement, and a warm reminder that our community is cheering them on as they begin a new chapter. Thank you for helping us turn a house into a home and for making a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve. Together, we are creating brighter futures, one family at a time.

Today is a day worth celebrating! Otavi Johnson’s journey to stable housing has not been an easy one. For some time, he, his 9-year-old son, and his mother faced the uncertainty and challenges of homelessness while searching for a place to call home.

Through determination, perseverance, and support from our team, Otavi never lost sight of his goal: creating a brighter future for his family.

Today, that goal became a reality as Otavi and his family moved into their new apartment. Watching them walk through the door of a home they can finally call their own is a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

Today we say thank you to past HALA Board Chair Carol Nunez. Carol joined our board six years ago and has served us well always reminding us to keep our families and community needs at the forefront. Carol is terming off our board at the end of the month, and we will miss her partnership at the board level. Carol is photographed with our Board Chair David Zuckerman. 👊

- it's been a couple of months since the official merger of HALA and BTAC and we are saluting the BTAC board members that joined our HALA board; some who have served the BTAC board for over 20 years. This month Burbank Councilmember Chris Rizzotti stopped by to send the City's appreciation by presenting these individuals with special certificates of recognition. Shout out to our CEO Albert Hernandez for presenting at today’s San Fernando Valley Nonprofit Conference at Los Angeles Valley College. He along with fellow nonprofit CEO Jenna Hauss from OneGeneration shared their organization journeys on Nonprofit Sustainability and Collaborations. Special thanks to the Community Foundation of the Valleys, Valley Economic Alliance and the Valley Nonprofit Resource hosted this annual event. It was a great opportunity to showcase HALAs recent merger with BTAC and how we are better together.

Today, we celebrate a new beginning for Monica Sanchez and her family! 🏡❤️ When Monica, her husband, and their daughter connected with Home Again LA, they were experiencing homelessness and sleeping in their vehicle while searching for a place to call home. Despite the challenges, they remained determined and never gave up hope.

After working closely with our team and completing the housing process, the family received the wonderful news that they had been approved for housing. Today, they moved into their new home, gaining the stability, safety, and fresh start they deserve.

We are honored to have supported Monica and her family on their journey and look forward to seeing them thrive in this exciting new chapter. Congratulations!
