Read the guide before you ride! 🚲⚡
E-bikes are a great way to get around, but safety starts before you hit the road. We encourage all riders to know the rules, follow the laws, wear proper safety gear, and be mindful of others sharing the streets.
Together, we can keep Burbank moving safely.

We are committed to exploring new technologies that help us keep our community safe while protecting the rights and privacy of those we serve.
Today, we hosted Axon’s Southern California Fixed ALPR Regional Meeting, bringing law enforcement leaders from across Southern California together to learn about emerging vehicle intelligence and automated license plate reader (ALPR) technologies. These discussions allow us to evaluate new tools and ensure we are using the most effective technology available to support public safety.
We remain committed to balancing innovation with transparency, accountability, and the trust of our community.

As part of National Bicycle and Motorcycle Safety Month, the Burbank Police Department conducted a Bicycle and Motorcycle Safety Operation focusing on the safe and lawful operation of electric motor-driven cycles throughout the City of Burbank.
These vehicles have become a growing safety concern due to improper operation and lack of required equipment. Although electric, these cycles are not considered “e-bikes.”
The Burbank Police Department remains committed to educating the public and promoting roadway safety for everyone who travels in our community.
