Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not just a moment in history, it's a legacy that continues to shape our communities today.
As we honor June 19, we recognize the resilience, contributions, and rich history of African Americans while celebrating the strength that comes from a diverse and connected community.
At Carrollton Police Department and Carrollton Fire Rescue, we are proud to serve a city made stronger by the people who call it home.
Today, we celebrate freedom, reflect on our shared history, and look toward a future built on unity and mutual respect.
Happy Juneteenth, Carrollton.

Congratulations to the graduates of the Citizens Police Academy Class #65!
Over the past several weeks, these dedicated community members have invested their time in learning more about our department. Classes ranged from patrol operations, crime scene demonstrations, mock traffic stops, and everyone’s favorite, the driving class. Each week they saw the many ways we work together to keep our city safe.
This class is the gateway to our Carrollton Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association volunteer program. We are excited that so many have decided to continue supporting us by becoming volunteers.
Interested in being part of the next class? The next Citizens Police Academy will be held this Fall, so stay tuned for registration information and application details.
We look forward to welcoming our next group of community members and continuing to build strong connections.

Congratulations to our K9 Unit on an outstanding performance at the 2026 USPCA Regional K9 Certification Trials!
Competing against 20 K9 teams from agencies across the region, our handlers and K9s represented the Carrollton Police Department with excellence, dedication, and professionalism.
These certifications are rigorous and require countless hours of training, teamwork, and commitment. We are incredibly proud of our K9 teams for their hard work and the way they represented our department throughout this year's trials.

Chief Arredondo had the opportunity to visit with members of the Carrollton High School Class of 1960 at Catfish House Restaurant.
When these classmates graduated, Carrollton was a small town with just over 4,000 residents and only one high school. The Dallas Cowboys were playing their very first season, gas cost about 31 cents a gallon, and the nation was captivated by the Space Race.
More than six decades later, these Carrollton graduates are still gathering, sharing memories, and reminding us of the strong community spirit that helped shape the city we know today.
Thank you for being part of Carrollton's story. ❤️

What a great turnout for the first-ever Trinity Nights!
Friday evening was filled with live music, local vendors, great food, and plenty of opportunities for neighbors to gather and enjoy Carrollton’s newest community space. It was exciting to see so many people come out and experience the Trinity Mills Station Esplanade for the very first public event held there.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and helped make the inaugural Trinity Nights such a success. We look forward to seeing this new Carrollton tradition continue to grow.
