Honoring all the dads, grandfathers, and countless father-figures in our community today, and remembering those we hold in our hearts even if they’re no longer with us. To everyone who shows up with love, late nights, guidance, bad (and good) dad jokes, and quiet strength, thank you! ❤️

Our families, and Cary, are truly better because of you. However you spend the day, I hope you find a moment to reach out to someone who’s been a father-figure in your life and let them know how much they mean to you.

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free, more than 2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It’s a powerful reminder that freedom and justice have not always come swiftly or equally.

Today, we honor that history, reflect on how far we’ve come, and recommit ourselves to building a community where opportunity and dignity are shared by all.
