Arapahoe Rescue Patrol, Inc.

This past weekend, around 90 ARP members gathered for our annual Basic Training! One of two training weekends held each June, Basic Training is an opportunity for members to build and refresh the foundational skills that prepare us for the field. Members spent the weekend practicing search techniques, carry-outs, and emergency care, while our probationary members experienced their very first field training. It was a weekend well spent and we can’t wait to do it all again at our second Basic Training weekend!

We’re lucky to have such great neighbors in Douglas County Search and Rescue that invite us to come train with them!

This EMS week, we want to give a huge shoutout to all the incredible medical personnel. Not just to those on our team, but all EMS providers who show up when things go sideways!

Yesterday, our members ROCKED technical operations training near Waterton Canyon.
From litter tie-ins to building systems and dialing in anchors, we spent the day sharpening our technical rescue skills. It was all hands-on and all about teamwork. 🪨💪
Always learning so we’re ready when it counts!

We are saddened to share that Kaden Sites has been found deceased.

Our deepest condolences to their family and friends. Thank you to all search and rescue teams, community members and partners for their efforts.
