Happy Juneteenth! CHCCS schools and offices are closed today (Thursday, June 18) in observance of the holiday.

We’re excited to share that our main athletic field (the field inside the track) has recently been aerated and seeded as part of our continued efforts to provide a safe, high-quality playing surface for our student-athletes and community.

To give the new seed time to establish and the field the best chance to thrive, we need everyone’s help! 🚫🏟️ Please stay off the field through June 29th while it rests and begins the growing process.

Thank you for helping us care for our facilities and support Mustang Athletics. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to keeping our fields ready for our athletes! ❤️🖤

Our 7th graders had a wild time on their field trip to the zoo last week! 🦁🐒🦒From observing amazing animals up close to exploring habitats from around the world, students enjoyed a day filled with learning, discovery, and fun. A big thank you to our staff, chaperones, and zoo team for making this adventure possible! 🐾✨

Students designed and built their own whirligigs, using mechanical principles to bring their ideas to life through motion. From planning and problem-solving to construction and testing, these projects showcased innovation, perseverance, and impressive engineering skills. 🌀 Great job, Mustangs! We love seeing your creativity in motion!

🦈💡 8th Grade Shark Tank Success! 💡🦈

Over the past 1.5 months, 8th grade Business Students in Ms. Morse's CTE class have been hard at work transforming creative ideas into realistic business plans.

Students researched and developed all 7 components of a professional business plan. Along the way, they applied technology and business skills learned throughout the year by creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, financial projections, professional documents, and presentation materials.

Students had the opportunity to present their businesses to our incredible panel of Sharks: Mr. Horne, Mrs. Vasselli, Mrs. Sherrill, Officer Kennedy, and Mr. Greene. Each group confidently pitched their ideas, answered challenging questions, and defended their business decisions just like real entrepreneurs.
