We took part in Smoke Alarm Saturday in some neighborhoods along Honeysuckle Drive to educate people about their importance in our homes.
Here are some safety tips to keep in mind to protect you and your loved ones.
• Install smoke alarms on every level of your home and inside/near all sleeping areas.
• Replace alarms that are 10+ years old (manufacture date is on the back).
• Replace batteries once a year and avoid using rechargeable batteries.
