Here's to Class 47, officially 2 weeks into alumni status!
Commencement was a powerful celebration of 10 months of leadership, growth, and connection - highlighted by a moving presentation from LC47 class members: Jaime Rechkemmer, Aleka Thrash, and Candace Williams, and the collective impact of $13,575 raised through their Closing Weekend Auction.
Surrounded by loved ones and peers, it was a meaningful moment to reflect on their journey and the leadership they’ll continue to bring to our community.
We’re still celebrating all Class 47 accomplished and built together but now, we turn the page: on to program planning for Class 48!
A special thank you to our Board and the LC46 Lead Team for their support in making this moment possible!

Leadership is about how we show up for others, the trust we build, and the communities we create together. Lead with authenticity and the rest will fall into place.

From Charlotte, NC to Seattle, WA - meet Decker Ngongang from Class 27!
"Professionally, I’m a strategy consultant primarily supporting NGO’s and philanthropic institutions. While I definitely apply leadership learnings in this role, I’d like to reflect on what I most treasure about my Leadership Charlotte experience: personal leadership."
Leadership Charlotte isn’t just about professional growth—it’s about personal transformation. For alumni like Decker, the experience shapes not only how they lead, but who they are.
That’s the lasting impact: leaders who carry these lessons into their families, their communities, and their work.
We’re proud to see our mission of access, opportunity, and community leadership travel across the globe.

“This is a relationship town.”
A meaningful morning spent with our partners at DPR Construction, bringing together new and familiar faces to connect, collaborate, and strengthen Charlotte’s business community.
Special thanks to Kieth Cockrell, President of Bank of America Charlotte, for serving as our keynote speaker and sharing his perspective on the importance of cross-sector relationship-building.
We're also grateful to Riley Clements (LC46) and Andy Silagyi (LC45) from DPR Construction for their partnership in coordinating this gathering.
Here's to continuing to build connections that move Charlotte forward!
