4th Maintenance Battalion

In May, Brigadier General Katz and Sergeant Major Fay visited 4th Maintenance Battalion during the stand-up of 6th Distribution Support Battalion in Charlotte, North Carolina. During their visit, they recognized and awarded several Marines for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to providing field-level maintenance support across Marine Corps forces in both the Active and Reserve components.

Marines with 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment, 4th Marine Logistics Group, deployed to support 3rd Maintenance Battalion aboard Okinawa, Japan, augmenting the active component in the maintenance and repair of tactical vehicles, weapons systems, and optics.
Training and operating alongside the active component is a critical part of 4th Maintenance Battalion’s mission, ensuring Reserve Marines remain ready to seamlessly integrate and stand shoulder to shoulder with their active-duty counterparts in any future fight. Fix to Fight!

This past weekend, two NCOs from the 4th Maintenance Battalion earned commissions as Second Lieutenants in the United States Marine Corps. Congratulations and welcome to 2ndLts Markem and Talmadge—two of the Corps’ newest officers—who will carry forward the leadership, knowledge, and experience they gained as prior NCOs while leading the next generation of Marines.

Marines with Headquarters Company, 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment, 4th Marine Logistics Group completed their annual Rifle Qualification in April - always maintaining their lethality and adhering to the concept of Every Marine a Rifleman.

Marines with 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment, 4th Marine Logistics Group graduated from Martial Arts Instructor Course (MAIC 55-26) in March, training qualified leaders to further enhance the lethality of their Marines through a rigorous 2-week course. These Marines put in long hours and maximum effort physically and mentally learning to teach Marines when to flip the switch. One mind, any weapon.

Marines with 4th Maintenance Battalion, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment, 4th Marine Logistics Group graduated from the Lance Corporal Seminar—an intensive course designed to prepare Lance Corporals for promotion to Corporal by reinforcing leadership fundamentals and the standards of NCO conduct.
These Marines represent the future leaders of the battalion and the Marine Corps Reserve, committed to instilling a mindset of discipline, readiness, and lethality in those they lead.
