AT 2026 – AFT Day

Upon returning to home station from Annual Training 2026, HSC Soldiers demonstrated that physical readiness remains a priority by completing the Army Fitness Test. Soldiers pushed through every event, from the three-repetition maximum deadlift and sprint-drag-carry to the plank and two-mile run, showcasing the discipline, endurance, and resilience required to accomplish the mission.

The AFT is more than a test—it is a measure of a Soldier’s ability to perform under demanding conditions and remain ready to support both State Active Duty and federal missions whenever called upon.

Mission readiness starts with physical readiness.

AT 2026 Recovery Operations

As Annual Training comes to a close, the work isn’t over. HSC Soldiers are hard at work conducting recovery and maintenance operations on crew-served weapons, cleaning and inspecting protective masks, and preparing equipment for turn-in and future missions.

Recovery operations are a critical part of readiness. The attention to detail and teamwork displayed by our Soldiers ensures equipment is properly maintained, accounted for, and ready to support both State Active Duty and federal missions when called upon.

Mission accomplishment doesn’t end when training stops—it ends when the equipment is clean, serviceable, and ready for the next mission.

AT 2026: Building Readiness Behind the Wheel

From classroom instruction to hands-on vehicle training, Soldiers of the rear detachment of HSC 130th MEB are sharpening the skills needed to safely operate military vehicles in support of both State Active Duty and federal missions.

A successful drivers training program depends on the expertise and dedication of our License Instructors and License Examiners. These Soldiers ensure operators are properly trained, evaluated, and qualified to Army standards, helping build confidence, competence, and safety across the formation.

Through classroom instruction, vehicle familiarization, PMCS, and practical driving experience on HMMWVs and LMTVs, our Soldiers are developing the skills required to safely and effectively execute missions whenever called upon.

Readiness starts with trained and licensed operators.

AT 2026: The Answer Is… Tear Gas Training! 😷☣️

If you guessed tear gas training, you were right!

HSC Soldiers conducted CBRN training during Annual Training, gaining firsthand experience in the gas chamber while building confidence in their protective equipment and procedures.

This training ensures Soldiers can operate effectively in contaminated environments and reinforces the importance of trusting their equipment and training.

While it may not be everyone’s favorite event, it remains a valuable part of maintaining readiness and preparing for any mission.

Train as you fight. Stay ready.

HSC Rear Detachment Annual Training 2026: Crew-Served Weapons Training

During Annual Training, Soldiers from HSC Rear Detachment trained on and qualified with crew-served weapons with the assistance of trainers from the 109th MP Battalion.

From classroom instruction and EST training to live-fire qualification, Soldiers worked together to build proficiency and confidence on the M2 and MK19 weapon systems. This training highlights the importance of cross-unit teamwork and knowledge sharing across the brigade.
