Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamationโ๐พ
Today, we honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black communities while celebrating freedom and reflecting on the ongoing pursuit of justice and equity.
