On Friday, June 19, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., visit Meck ABC Spirits Store 10 (4315 Sunset Road, Charlotte) for a special event featuring Old Hillside Bourbon Company, co-founded by Jesse Carpenter.

Guests will enjoy a bottle full of stories including:
✅ A special tasting featuring Old Hillside Bourbon Company products
✅ A unique storytelling session with co-founder Jesse Carpenter
✅ Insights into how the company was launched during the challenges of COVID in 2020

One organization making a meaningful impact is Triumph Services. Through peer support and counseling, Triumph Services helps individuals affected by substance use disorders, mental health challenges, trauma, homelessness, re-entry barriers, and brain injury navigate their recovery journey. Their person-centered approach helps participants build coping skills, strengthen support systems, access community resources, and work toward greater independence and stability.

Substance use disorders often occur alongside mental health conditions and, in many cases, a history of trauma or brain injury. These challenges can make recovery more complex, but they also highlight the importance of comprehensive, community-based support. Recovery is about more than abstinence, it's about improving health, restoring hope, rebuilding lives, and creating opportunities for long-term success.

Through community partnerships and grant-funded programs, Mecklenburg County ABC Board is committed to supporting organizations that address the many factors that influence recovery. Together, we are helping individuals and families move toward healthier futures while building stronger, more resilient communities.
