Richard Davis has been named the 2026 TAUD Water Treatment Operator of the Year. The award was presented during the TAUD Operator Expo in Lebanon, Tennessee.

For more than three decades, Richard has served Eastside Utility District. From helping restore the Donald Stafford Water Treatment Plant early in his career to mentoring future operators, his work has helped shape both the utility and the next generation of water professionals.

Eastside Utility will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Regular business hours will resume Monday, June 22.

📌 Time to Schedule Your Annual Backflow Test

Irrigation season is here, and it’s time to schedule your annual backflow testing for customers with sprinkler meters.

Completed Backflow Assembly Test Reports must be submitted by June 30, 2026 to [email protected]. Backflow test forms are available on our website under “Forms & Reports.”

To help avoid delays closer to the deadline, customers are encouraged to schedule appointments early with a certified backflow tester.

⚠️ Hydrant Flushing Notice

Annual fire hydrant flushing will begin Friday, May 1, between 11 PM and 4 AM and will continue over the next several months.

As part of our routine maintenance, crews will open hydrants to clear out natural mineral buildup in the water lines and ensure hydrants are working properly. This process helps maintain the water quality you rely on every day.
