Good afternoon, community members,
Last night, a community meeting was organized by Lee Helton and Jeff Eversole held at The Crossing Church regarding the proposed land development. At this time, there appear to be two potential options being considered: a large residential neighborhood with a significant number of homes, or a commercial development including a strip mall and storage buildings. Many residents feel this is a choice between two unfavorable outcomes.
This page was created to help build awareness, keep the community informed, and encourage involvement as decisions move forward.
The Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission will meet on June 8th at 1:00 PM on the 4th Floor of the Hamilton County Courthouse to discuss how they plan to proceed. It is imperative that community members attend and make their voices heard.
Community involvement will play an important role in the future of this development.
