Chattanooga celebrates Juneteenth for the very same reason it's celebrated on a national level, because it is essentially Black Independence Day. The enslaved Americans of our past deserve a rightful celebration, and it was so great to see you all come out today and walk with us during the annual parade in honor of them! Together, we are One Chattanooga.
