How much do we love Saint Michael’s church in Old Town? Quite a lot!

This kneeler is from before the Chicago fire and that’s Cardinal Bernardin’s robe on display.

Also, it’s the only Catholic Church in America with a representation of Satan on the altar.

Last month seven people (in varying stages of the process) gathered in our office for "Held". They spoke of grief, how it changes a person, and how the grief itself changes. Everyone agreed that it was a helpful experience, so we've scheduled Round Two.

Held: A Workshop on Grief.
Sunday June 28
11am - 12:30pm

A few weeks ago, we posted about a bereaved cat named Spot. Her human companion passed away, and the family was unable to take her on.

We are so happy to report that we have successfully brokered a new home for this shy older lady. Spot was terrified and often in hiding when hospice came to visit, so we are thrilled to hear of her turnaround.

Yay for Amie and Pat, and super-yay for Spot! l
