Nicola McCafferty To Be Director of Programming At The 400

Rogers Park resident Nicola McCafferty will serve as Director of Programming at the soon-to-be-reopened 400 Theater. Nicola also works as a programmer for the Chicago International Film Festival and teaches at Northwestern University, where she recently completed her PhD in Screen Cultures in the Department of Radio/Television/Film.

"We are very excited to work with Nicola and create a truly diverse and stimulating program of movies for the Rogers Park community and for the entire city," said theater owner Jordan Stancil. "Nicola is an experienced programmer, teacher, and scholar -- our audiences will benefit from her leadership, expertise, and commitment to independent cinema."

Stancil said the theater planned to announce additional programming talent and other hires soon as it prepares to reopen.
