After 1,339 days, A is finally home!!

On June 1st, surrounded by family, friends, and supporters joining from near and far, both in the courtroom and on Zoom, A’s adoption was officially finalized!!

Her adoptive parents shared that they did not realize a part of their family was missing until A came into their home.

When she first arrived, A was shy, withdrawn, and anxious. Today, she is energetic, outgoing, and full of personality, according to her former caseworker.

At just 3 years old, A has spent her entire life in care. She first lived with a relative before finding her way to the family who would become her forever family. She now officially joins four older brothers in a lively, active home filled with sports, cheerleading, family activities, and all the joyful chaos that comes with being part of a big family.

Today, A is exactly where she belongs, smothered, covered, and surrounded by love.

Congratulations to A and her forever family!! Child Link is honored to have been part of your journey home.

Last week, our amazing Illinois Barb’s Buddies Crew delivered 300 kits to Child Link !

That means 300 children in foster care will receive a little something to remind them that someone is thinking about them, cares about them, and wants them to know they are not alone.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers and artists who took the time to write encouraging note cards and help assemble these kits. Your kindness and dedication make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who need it most.

Together, we are spreading comfort, connection, and literacy—one child at a time.
