Huge news, GCISD family! 🎉🍎 We are incredibly proud to announce that the GCISD Child Nutrition Department has officially aced our recent Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Administrative and Procurement Reviews!

Not only did we meet 100% of the rigorous state and federal School Nutrition Program requirements, but we received a formal commendation from Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller for our commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of our students. 🌟

From the cafeteria lines at Bear Creek, Heritage, and OC Taylor Elementaries to our district-wide operations, this perfect review is a direct result of the tireless, behind-the-scenes dedication of our entire school nutrition team. Serving fresh, healthy, and compliant meals every single day is a true team effort, and we love fueling our students for success!

Lunch served from 11:45 am to 12:15 AM

Meals served at Cross Timbers Middle School from May 26th to July 30th Monday-Friday. (Closed June 19th and July 3rd).

Free for all kids and teens ages 18 years old and younger.

As the school year comes to a close, a Colleyville Heritage High School student shared their appreciation toward the child nutrition staff.

If the voting board didn’t prove it, the poses definitely did! ✌️😎 gave Sweet Cherry Chicken a massive thumbs up today. We might need a bigger “Loved it!” column next time!

Last week, the students put on their food critic hats! They joined Chef Jason for a special taste test to decide if his Chicken Pasta Bake should make the cut for next year’s menu.
The verdict? After sampling the goods and heading to the “Taste Test Voting” wall, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! Based on the smiles and the “Loved it!” stickers, it looks like we might have a new favorite dish on our hands.
