The Elevate Summer Program is an engaging, hands-on STEM experience offered by Harrison School District 2 (D2) for students! Check out this fun and challenging project our D2 4th graders took on as part of the program. They designed awesome basketball courts and found ways to launch their mini basketballs through the hoops they created!

π STEM learning is taking off for our 4thβ6th grade students in summer school!
This week, students participated in exciting programming led by Challenger Learning Center. Through hands-on missions, engineering challenges, scientific investigations, and collaborative problem-solving, students are stepping into the roles of scientists, engineers, and astronauts.
These engaging experiences bring STEM to life while building critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity. We love providing opportunities that inspire curiosity and help students imagine the possibilities that await them in the future! ππ¬β¨

Summer is here, and while routines may change, learning can still be part of everyday adventures!
This is a great time to brainstorm simple and meaningful ways to keep your student engaged and curious throughout the summer. Learning doesn't have to look like worksheets or classroomsβit can happen while reading together, cooking a new recipe, exploring nature, visiting local museums, keeping a journal, building something creative, or asking questions about the world around us.
The goal isn't perfection; it's creating opportunities for curiosity, discovery, and growth. Small moments can make a big impact.
What are some ways your family keeps learning fun during the summer months?
