๐Ÿ๐ŸŒผ June is Colorado Pollinator Month! ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ

This month we're celebrating the incredible pollinators that support our ecosystems, agriculture, health, and economy. From bees and butterflies to hummingbirds and beetles, pollinators play a vital role in maintaining the biodiversity that keeps our communities and watersheds healthy. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒŽ

Here at the Fountain Creek Watershed District, we're helping create healthy habitat for pollinators through projects like our community raingardens! Planted with native botanical species, raingardens do more than just make your yard look pretty โ€” they also help capture stormwater runoff, improve water quality, reduce erosion, and provide food and shelter for pollinators and other wildlife.๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿฆ‹

Want to support pollinators at home? Here are a few simple ways to help:

๐ŸŒป Plant native flowers and grasses
๏ฟฝ๐Ÿ Provide pollinator habitat
๏ฟฝ๐Ÿšซ Reduce pesticide use
๏ฟฝ๐Ÿ’ง Conserve water and support healthy watersheds

Healthy pollinators and healthy watersheds go hand in hand!
