June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month and last week some of our residents had the opportunity to participate in a health & wellness day.

The day consisted of presentations from the Department of Health and CrossFit Gahanna owner Brian Walsh on the positive impacts mental, nutritional, and physical wellness has on overall mental well-being. The event concluded with a CrossFit workout.

A huge thank you to CrossFit Gahanna and the Department of Health for your time and dedication. Also shoutout to our Program Manager, Kenya Taylor, for organizing the event 💪🧠❤️

Today, our staff and residents wore green in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Mental health impacts us all, and recovery, growth, and healing are possible when people have access to support, connection, and hope.

By wearing green, we stand together to help break the stigma surrounding mental health and to remind one another that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💚

Last night, we held a Mother’s Day event and we want to sincerely thank all of the mothers, grandmothers, and loved ones that joined in on the celebration.

Motherhood represents strength, support, resilience, and unconditional love. The opportunity to reconnect with family and celebrate the important women in their lives is a powerful reminder of what our residents are working toward. ❤️💐

April was Second Chance Month and, throughout the month, our residents stayed busy doing the real work of change: engaging with guest speakers, giving back through community service outings, and participating in local events that reconnect them to the community they’re preparing to return to.

Second Chance Month is a nationwide effort to recognize that people are more than their worst mistake. It’s about restoring potential, rebuilding trust, and creating safer, stronger communities for all of us.
