Stark County is taking an important step in su***de prevention. đź’š

Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery, Stark County Su***de Prevention Coalition, and the City of Massillon - City Hall have partnered to install 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline signs throughout the community — helping connect residents to hope and support when they need it most.

Massillon is the first community in Stark County to launch this initiative, which aims to:
📱 Increase awareness of the 988 Lifeline
đź«¶ Encourage help-seeking behavior
🗨️ Connect people to immediate mental health and substance use crisis support

The 988 Lifeline provides free, confidential support 24/7 by call, text, or chat. Community partnerships like this help save lives and remind people they are never alone.

The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities hosted the 16th annual Mental Health and Addicition Conference: Inspiring a Stronger Tomorrow. DBH Director Tia Marcel Moretti joined to give opening remarks and lead a session on the department's new initiatives. The two-day conference highlights innovative strategies and best practices in prevention, education, intervention, treatment, recovery, family support, and community engagement.
